Environment

The climate is changing everywhere. In the northern caps the ice is melting and destroying the arctic, raising the sea levels and creating floods. Liberals believe in saving natural resources for future generations. Global warming is caused by an increased production of carbon dioxide through the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas). Liberals want to take action by building a green economy, which is good for the planet.

"It's time to work together again to fight climate change."

Liberals want to put to an end to all of the pollution that is occurring. They hope to stop all dumping in the ocean and research the need for recycling of raw materials created by indestructible substances.

"We don't have to make a choice between protecting the environment and growing our economy."

Electricity is essential to our modern lifestyle, but is also a major polluter. The Liberals want to change over to cleaner methods to generate power such as solar energy, wind farms and waves. Transportation has become more expensive and more damaging to the environment; the Liberals believe that this should be taken in to account and researched for future projects.
